A suitcase where the wheels come off, is Ryanair Prime actually a good deal and what I'd recommend you do on your next trip to London 💂

Your must read travel round up 🏙️

Have you met my newest pal??? If you’ve seen me on socials recently, or even on This Morning this week, then you’ve probably seen me with my new bestie, the Primark Viral Cabin Suitcase.

Now the amazing thing about this little guy is that it has removable wheels! Which is an epic space saver when you’re trying to squeeze everything into a small cabin bag. I packed it up with what I’d take on a weekend trip, and went along to the airport to see if I could fit it into the Ryanair bag sizer - scroll down to see how I got on!

Right, let’s dive in to this week’s newsletter for you:

  • I tested out the latest Primark Ryanair viral suitcase with removable wheels🧳

  • Is Ryanair Prime actually worth ÂŁ79 a year?! ✈️

  • Budget-friendly tips for your London trip, and our ultimate 3 day itinerary💂

Beat the Ryanair Baggage Sizer 🎒

Now when I tell you I STOPPED IN MY TRACKS in Primark a couple of weeks ago when I saw their latest suitcase. They’ve made one with removable wheels! And they’ve also introduced a new membership… But is it any good?!

I tested out the new viral Primark suitcase

Find out all the deets for this suitcase with removable wheels that has now had over 20 million views!! Madness.

What is Ryanair Prime?

Ryanair’s new membership scheme costs £79 for the year. But what do you get, and could you use it to actually save money?

Viral Vacay📲

Where we track down the accommodation that’s gone viral, find out how much it actually costs and if needs be, suggest a cheaper alternative 🕵️‍♀️

What is it? We’re doing a new twist on viral vacay this week. Check out this GINORMOUS Aperol Spritz in Rome.

How viral? This reel has more than 21M views on TikTok!

How much? Well, this giant spritz will set you back €35.

You’ll need somewhere to stay though - try Terrazza Munira which is a 10 minute stroll away and has rooms from £84 per night.

If you’re on a budget, you can bag a dorm bed at Borgo Ripa for £33. Or go posh at Horti 14 Borgo, where rooms cost from £190 per night.

Cheaper alternative?

Fancy a 6ft dosa?

Head to Crispy Dosa which has branches across London - in Hounslow, Wood Green and Harrow, to name a few. You can enjoy their giant family-sized dosa for ÂŁ29.99.

Wanna stay nearby? Check out the arts-led Green Rooms in Wood Green and go for a drink on a double decker bus across the road!

Or another?

If you’re visiting Paris, you can get a giant croissant from Philippe Conticini for €25 - which is around £21.50.

They even have London outposts too in Camden, Islington and South Kensington.

My friend Robbie actually went and bought one for a recent YouTube video and it really made me want to try it!

London calling

We’ve just finished updating our London city guide, so we’re excited to share it with you! London is such a huge city and there’s so much ground to cover, I wanted to take some of the effort out of your planning and show you my favourite things to do around here!

The ultimate 3 day London itinerary

I’ve got a step by step itinerary for a long weekend in London. Make sure you’ve packed your stomping shoes!

My deal of the week

I’m gonna hijack this section for a quick moment because we recently launched @holidayexpertshop, a new home for our straightforward and honest travel luggage and gadget reviews.

We have one rule in and that’s NO ADS! We pay for everything ourselves and you can even request we review something you want to know more about!

Things are ticking along nicely on Instagram where we have 11k followers already - amazing!

However we realised we haven’t told anyone we’re on TikTok too - WHOOPSIE!

So if you use that, come and follow us on there too as we’re hoping to get 1000 followers by the end of the month.

And if you’ve seen something you’re thinking about buying and want me to road test it for you first, drop me a DM!

And as a sneak peek for an item that’s coming up, this is the portable power bank I take on all of my trips with me!

I actually didn’t take an adaptor on my £100 trip to Tirana but just took one of these fully charged - and it got me through the entire trip for my phone, watch and mics! Pretty good!!

Now, the old model which you can see here in the photo included a clever USB-C handle which the new models don’t have. Boo. BUT they are still excellent and I know because I sadly lost my old one (RIP) and now have a lovely blue version instead!!

Look mum, I’m on the telly

I’ve been on ITV’s This Morning again - this week talking about the viral Primark cabin suitcase, and last week talking last minute summer holidays!

I always have a blast on This Morning and it’s absolute chaos behind the scenes - especially when I do a live phone-in, as I have mere minutes to find the deals for the callers! But I get such a thrill, I love it!

You can watch my segment all about the viral Primark cabin suitcase and my other top picks for the best small cabin bags on itvX - I’m on around 1h 45min in!

What the team’s been loving this week!

When we’ve not been working really hard - ahem - here’s some of the things that we’ve been enjoying over on socials.

Joe: I grew up in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, where we'd see many a tourist looking for the golden sands and fresh fish and chips of Cornwall, so this TikTok from Mackenzie resonates.

Katie: Want to see a walrus having a birthday party? Say no more.

James: This is a great hack for getting revenge when the person in front of you reclines their seat.

Anna: I love seeing what other people collect when they travel but phew, these mugs would take up a lot of space and money. I'm more of a magnet gal myself!

Chelsea: I want to try this spot in Shoreditch which serves up bottomless lasagne.

And that’s a wrap!

That’s all for this week – thanks if you made it this far and why not let me know you did so by answering the poll below ⬇️
