Plus, I’ve summarised my recent review of six neck pillows with loads of photos so you can get a feel for what may work the best for you.

The best neck pillows for your £££

You get the scoop before the video goes live!! I chose six different neck pillows to try out on my recent overnight train trip and here’s my fave… 👀

My deal of the week

You can check out our complete list of curated deals above, but I wanted to shine the spotlight on some items that I know always go down well. This sale ends today (9th October), as part of Amazon’s regular Prime Days, you just have to be a member to be able to make the most of the discounts.

Luggage & Packing

This versatile cabin bag is a firm favourite thanks to the fact it converts from a Ryanair bag into an easyJet bag!

This is a well-priced backpack that fits Ryanair’s under-seat bag dimensions.

A decently-priced suitcase with an integrated lock that matches the large cabin bag dimensions for the budget airlines.

This 16-piece silicone set should hold all your liquids it includes bottles, pots and a spray.

These mesh cubes are great for staying organised, helping you see what’s inside.

Good if you’re short on space, these packing cubes are water-resistant and compress with a zip. You get four cubes, a laundry bag and pouch.

Tech & Gadgets

Yep it’s back in the sale! You’ll have likely heard me bang on about this one before, but it’s the best I’ve come across – high powered and lets me charge loads of devices at once.

Pop one of these tiles into your luggage and you can track its whereabouts. Compatible with Apple and Android devices, as well as Alexa and Google Home.

This bluetooth speaker is tiny, but don’t worry, the audio quality is great for the price!

Alternatively, splash out a bit more on a punchier model that’s waterproof with 24h play time.

I have this in black and it’s been a total life saver on long trips where I’ve had no access to power! It got me through Glasto

I tested this out over the weekend and was impressed. Sure, you do need some sunshine to charge it but this would be super helpful for camping and festivals.

Headphones

These are sleek in-ear earbuds at a great price point.

I’ve just found out about this company and I’m super impressed with the tech you get for your money with these ear buds!

For all you hardcore Apple fans, you can bag a rare discount on these AirPod Pros.

If you’re after some decent noise-cancelling headphones that won’t break the band, these are a good budget option.

If you’ve a bit more to spend, you could go for these higher spec headphones.

This is a great deal on these super-comfortable premium headphones from bougie brand Bose.

Health & Beauty

These are so handy for trips where you’re doing a lot of walking, you get 12 in a pack. I never travel without some!

An affordable SPF you can wear all year round - but super important especially when off somewhere with lots of ☀️

I love these bracelets for keeping the mozzies at bay, you get a bunch of different colours.

Anyone else had loads of adverts about this toothbrush? Well, it’s a good time to buy it at this price!

All aboard! 🛤️

If my trip on the Caledonian Sleeper has made you think overnight train travel could be for you, then have a read of our deep-dive on the UK’s sleeper trains. It really is a unique experience, with various options to suit your budget, and makes a nice laid-back alternative to flying or driving.

And if flying is more your thing, I’ve summarised why you shouldn’t just opt for the cheapest flight out of here…

7 things more important than a cheap flight

I know a cheap flight is super satisfying, but it may not be the most important thing when it comes to saving money!

Viral Vacay 📲

Where we track down the accommodation that’s gone viral, find out how much it actually costs and if needs be, suggest a cheaper alternative 🕵️‍♀️

What is it?
A trip on the famous Orient Express train

How viral?
Just(!) 3M views on TikTok

How much?
A cabin on the Orient Express from Venice to Paris costs from an eye-popping £7,060 for 2 people sharing.

Cheaper alternative?
South Africa has a similarly luxurious train, Rovos Rail. You can book a two-night Pretoria-Durban safari package for a (slightly!) more manageable £2,986 for 2 people sharing.

Cheaper still?
It’s not quite as decadent, but head to the lounge on the Night Riviera train from London to Penzance, for a luxury feel - I thought it had art deco vibes when I visited! And it costs from just £165.80 for 2 people sharing.

What we’ve been loving

We’ve started a channel in the work group chat to share content that interests and excites us, so we thought we’d share some of these with you lovely lot!

Katie: I’ve been discovering Syria thanks to @syrianguides‘ page. They run local tours that showcase the beauty of the country and challenge preconceptions.

Chelsea: I’ve just come back from the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition press preview and oh my god. It was incredible! I’m usually a bit dubious about paying for exhibitions but I think it’s worth the £15.50 adult price. Mind blowing!

Joe: I'm loving the first touches of cold weather because it means I'm seeing more things like this divine mountain snowscape on my timeline. Powder has begun to fall, WINTER IS COMING!

And that’s a wrap!

That’s all for this week thanks if you made it this far and why not let me know you did so by answering the poll below ⬇️
